Tom Mehl, Claudia Frey-Grant, and Sheila Woolfolk hand deliver 50 ARK bags to the Aurora PD. ARK stands for Autism Rescue Kits. They contain sensory items such as fidget toys, stuffed animal, dry erase board, sunglasses, etc. They are given to an individual encountered at a call needing calming methods.
Spearheaded by a fellow Optimist, Bill Cassel, these kits are a valuable tool first responders can use to interact with the community safer and more efficiently..
